1 dead, 1 injured in Hwy 49 wreck in Diamond Springs | News
DIAMOND SPRINGS, CA - Highway 49 at Truck St. in Diamond Springs was closed Thursday morning following a fatal wreck involving an SUV.
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the SUV overturned in the wreck before coming to a rest against a fence.
One person was removed from the vehicle and taken to hospital. The other individual died in the wreck, said CHP.
CHP did not provide an estimated time of reopening.
