UPDATE: Hwy 50 cleared after rockslide near Kyburz | News
KYBURZ, Calif. - A rockslide blocked both directions of Highway 50 about 27 miles east of Placerville on Wednesday.
According to initial California Highway Patrol reports, the slide occurred in the vicinity of 39 Mile Stone Dr. near Kyburz around 9:24 a.m.
Crews were called to the scene to clear the rocks, but no estimated time of reopening was provided.
The highway wsa cleared as of 12:17 p.m. according to the CHP.
