Sheriff: Sex offender accused of molesting Cameron Park child | News
CAMERON PARK, CA - A transient with a criminal history of child sex abuse was arrested on similar allegations Monday night, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's department received at call at 4:50 p.m. from a woman at an apartment off Cimaron Road that she caught an acquaintance molesting her child, said Sgt. Jim Byers.
Deputies who responded identified the man as Jeffrey Michael Ellsworth, a registered sex offender, Byers said. Ellsworth had left the apartment but was later located on Oak Hill Road and arrested.
Ellsworth was booked into El Dorado County Jail for felony child molestation.
