EL DORADO COUNTY, CA - A man and a woman from El Dorado County were arrested on drug and other charges following a 34-mile police pursuit involving a stolen motorcycle Thursday night, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.

The chase began when a sheriff's special enforcement detail attempted to stop the rider of a stolen motorcycle at 615 Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs, said Lt. Tim Becker. The motorcyclist, Brandon Remy, 44, of Pollock Pines, was wanted on a parole violation warrant.

Remy also had a passenger, Karen White, 24, of Placerville.

Remy refused to pull over, Becker said, and led officers, including California Highway Patrol ground and air units on a chase. Amador County sheriff's deputies joined the pursuit when it entered their county. The pursuit ended at the Amador County Fairgrounds where Remy and White were taken into custody.

No one was hurt.

Becker said officers reported seeing White throw something from the motorcycle. The item was recovered and found to contain illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, Becker said.

White was arrested on suspicion of drug-related charges, attempting to conceal or destroy evidence, and interfering with the duties of a peace officer..

Remy was arrested on parole violation, evading arrest, possession of a stolen motorcycle, driving under the influence and drug-related charges.
