CHP officer connected to stolen firearms booked into jail
El DORADO COUNTY, CA - A California Highway Patrol officer was arrested Wednesday in connection to stolen firearms.
Michael Rupley, was taken into custody around 7 a.m. at a home on 4500 Wendsan Lane in Placerville, El Dorado County sheriff's Lt. Tim Becker said.
Detectives working multiple burglary investigations involving stolen firearms, developed information that lead them to the Placerville home.
Becker said Rupley was arrested and booked into El Dorado County Jail for receiving stolen property.
